What Is Google Arbitrage?
Google Arbitrage
Google arbitrage is based on understanding two basic aspects of Google's paid search services -- AdWords and AdSense. AdWords allows people to bid on keywords that searchers enter into Google. The winning bidder's short text ads then appear on the search engine results page when the term is searched. Each time someone clicks an ad, you pay a certain amount -- which is why the service is also called 'pay-per-click' or PPC. The idea with Google arbitrage is to pick a useful term that doesn't cost a lot per click.
AdSense
AdSense is Google's contextual advertising network. Contextual advertising means that Google displays text ads on a site based on the content. For example, if you have a website about credit cards, then Google might display credit card ads alongside your content. With Google arbitrage, you're looking to bring people to your site at a lower cost than the amount you receive for an AdSense click. For example, a person comes to your site based on clicking a 50-cent AdWords ad on Google. When there, he may click on another advertisement on your site. You receive around a dollar for the click, giving you an overall profit.
Effectiveness
Arbitrage worked for some site owners for the years leading up to 2008. However, Google cracked down on arbitrage by early 2008. It tweaked its search algorithm to push ad-saturated sites with low-quality content down the search results pages. This effectively made arbitrage an obsolete tactic for most people involved. Even when arbitrage worked more effectively, it could lead to heavy losses if you ended up paying more in AdWords than you made from your AdSense clicks.
Google Policy
Google's AdWords site explains its policy on arbitrage websites. While Google doesn't explicitly state that arbitrage is banned, it does point out that many of the traits of arbitrage sites could result in problems. For example, Google states that websites with a primary function of getting users to click on ads for other sites are prohibited under its policy. This describes many basic forms of the arbitrage website. Break the rules, and you may find your account suspended.

How to Make Money With YouTube.com
The Basics to Profiting on YouTube
1.
Understand that step one--creating a video--is probably the hardest part of making money on YouTube. Start out by coming up with an idea. If you have a special skill, you can create a video tutorial. If you are good at video editing you could make a parody of a popular music video or a short animated story.
2. Record your idea and give it some sort of unique flair. Some of the most popular ongoing YouTube series include strong recognizable characters.
3. Before uploading your video to YouTube open it in your favorite video editing program and add a watermark directing users to your website.
4. Of course, you will need a website to capitalize off of this method. Websites like Google Page Creator offer the tools you will need to do this for free.
5. Prepare your website by adding content and placing ads. The content can be minimal--perhaps a compilation of your YouTube work. The key is not to keep people on your site, but to get them clicking ads. Google AdSense provides ads that will target your user based on content and pay you for each click.
6. Upload your video to YouTube. Remember to link your website in the video and also in the description page.
Using YouTube as a Tool
7. Instead of using YouTube to direct traffic to your site, you will learn how to use YouTube to add content to your website. This time, start by creating a website with Google Page Creator. Remember to include advertisements.
8. Browse YouTube and find videos you would like to place on your site. It does not matter if these videos are not yours. Simply choose videos you like that will go well together. You can focus on comedy, politics, useful guides or anything else that can be grouped.
9. Now that you have found the videos you would like to use, copy the code next to 'Embed' on the right side of the video and paste it into your site. The video will show up in a box on your homepage.
10. Build content around the videos that you have chosen. If you used cooking videos, arrange them in an easy to use manner with ingredients clearly listed. Add witty commentary to a collection of funny videos. Figure out what it will take to attract users to your website.
11. Now that YouTube has provided you with content to fuel your site, use other methods to advertise. Tell family and friends. Write the address wherever you can. Put signs up around your school or work. The goal is to create traffic to click your ads as much as possible.

How Does PayPal Work?
Overview
PayPal is a method for sending and receiving funds.
Definition
PayPal is a service that enables a person to send and receive payments over the Internet when selling or purchasing goods or services or making online donations. PayPal prides itself for being secure, and most online services accept payment through PayPal. PayPal is an effective and secure way to do business over the Internet.
Getting Started
First, you need to open a PayPal account. All you need is an email address to get started. From the PayPal home page, click on the “Sign up” link and follow the instructions. Once you have set up a PayPal account, then you are ready to send and receive money over the Internet.
Linking to Bank Accounts
You can link your PayPal account to your bank account so that you can transfer funds between your personal or business bank account and your PayPal account. The PayPal website provides instructions for how to do this. PayPal charges no fees to transfer money in or out of your bank account, and most banks do not charge for this service either. You can also link your PayPal account to a credit card, although many websites will not accept this form of payment because the website must pay higher fees for this service.
Sending Money
If you want to send money from your PayPal account, you can do this in two ways. One way is to click on the PayPal icon on a website. Most large websites provide PayPal as a payment option. Once you select what you want to purchase, you can click on the PayPal icon and follow the instructions. The other option is to enter the email address of the person you want to pay. As long as that email address is linked to a valid PayPal account, the money will transfer from your PayPal account to the other person’s PayPal account.
Drawing Funds
You must have funds linked to your PayPal account to cover the cost of your purchases. If you link your PayPal account to a bank account, then PayPal will automatically withdraw the funds from your bank account to pay for your purchases. Alternatively, PayPal will charge your purchases to the credit card that you link to the PayPal account. You can set up your PayPal account in either manner.
Receiving Funds
If you want to receive money into your PayPal account, you can do this by asking the other party to send you a payment using your email address. You can link multiple email addresses to one PayPal account, so there is no need to open multiple accounts if you regularly use more than one email address.
PayPal Fee
PayPal charges a nominal fee to the recipient of the funds. If you ask a person to pay you $100 through PayPal, you will see a small fee deducted from the amount you receive. There is no fee for the person who is using PayPal to pay for goods or services.

How to add AdBrite to your blog
1. To add AdBrite to your blog, go to www.adbrite.com and choose the 'Create an Account' box for Website owners.
2. Next, choose what types of ads you want on your site. You can choose from banner and/or text ads, full page ads and inline ads (when the mouse rolls over highlighted words in the text an ad appears). You have the option of choosing all types of ads or just one or 2.Before you leave that screen you have to check boxes agreeing not to place incentives within your site to click on ads and that the ads will not be set up on sites with pornographic content. Pretty standard stuff.
3. Next choose the ad format you want. AdBrite does not have as many options as Google Adsense but for some this may be a good thing. As you click each option on the dropdown menu the sample ad on the page will change so you can get an idea of what you are choosing.Next choose the type of content you want to allow: either all available ads (except adult) or family-friendly only, then decide if you want your ads auto-approved or if you want to approve each ad before it appears on your site. This setting can be changed later, so for now I'd say go with auto-approve until you learn your way around.
4. Next you need to provide your site info: URL, name of your site and a brief description, and also specify the area where your ads will appear (top banner, left vertical, etc). After that is an important area where you enter keywords that apply to your site. You can enter up to 50 and they have a counter that shows how many you have left. Put some thought into the keywords you choose since these will help determine the types of ads that appear in your site.Once that's complete you will pick a main category for your site and a secondary category. For example, if you blog about books you would pick Arts & Entertainment and then Books.
5.
Finally, answer yes or no to whether you are already using other ad networks and click on the link to get your ad code HTML. Just copy and paste it into the HTML/Java Script area on your site and that's it! You are now signed up with AdBrite. Now start promoting!

How to Add PPC Ads to a Website
How to Add PPC Ads to Your Website
1. First you need to locate a company that provides this service. Google is the biggest and probably the best, but there may be others that suit your needs just as readily. To sign up for Google's PPC service (called Adsense) simply browse to the Google homepage and click the 'Advertising Programs' link under the search bar on the main page. (NOTE: This ink appears after you click 'More' in the top navigation bar when you are using a Mozilla browser. You can sign up for any PPC service you want. Yahoo, MSN and a host of other, smaller companies offer them, too.
2. Sign up for the PPC add program. You will be asked to provide your name, address, payment information and website URL. Each service is different, and they feature differing ways to sign up for the PPC ad programs.
3. Each PPC company has a different platform and program. With Google, you simply cut and paste a piece of code into the HTML of your website page, and the ads appear on your site. This code is very simple: It pulls the ads from Google's servers and displays them on your site.
4. Paste the code into every page on which you want these ads to appear. You will need to understand a bit of HTML, so you can paste the code for the PPC ads in the right spot. Many people paste the code for the ads right into the middle of the page, so that they appear where visitors can easily see them and click on them.
5. Keep track of your PPC ad hits. Each time someone clicks on a PPC ad, you will be paid a price that is determined by how much someone is willing to pay for that click. This is like an auction, so certain keywords will work better. That is why it helps to have some understanding of SEO.

1. Create a site that is in tune with what people want to hear about. To get a better idea about the most popular topics, look at Google.com/Trends (see Resources below). This shows what people are searching for the most. By studying these pages regularly, you may be inspired to create a site that will be widely searched. Overall patterns such as the popularity of celebrity gossip can make sites million-dollar-ad-revenue sites. PerezHilton.com is a gossip blog updated at least 15 times each day with gossip about popular celebrities.
2. Create a site that lets readers interact with the site and with one another. Sites such as Facebook, StumbleUpon and MySpace are enormous, and they attract members and readers because of their social aspects. Builders of informational sites and blogs have also made the effort in recent years to create a sense of community in order to keep readers coming back. Your site can be a forum for members or a comments area for each page. As your site attracts more readers each day, you can charge higher ad fees from your advertisers.
3. Have traffic-tracking software in place so that you know your exact traffic figures. The rate that advertisers will pay for a spot on your site often depends on the traffic levels each month.
4. Sign up with Blogads.com (see Resources below) to take advantage of your site's traffic numbers. These sites have a number of advertisers who are looking for popular sites that will display their ads prominently. Keep signing advertisers and building your traffic so that you can raise rates regularly. Eventually, your site could make $1 million in ad revenue.

How to Make a Profitable Mini Site
1.
Decide what niche or product you'd like to make money with. You can have a physical product of your own, or you can just make a clickbank account. If you don't have a clickbank account, just visit clickbank.com. It's free to set up and use, and they pay via paypal! For the sake of this article, we'll say we chose 'Learn To Play Guitar'.
2. Create your mini site. In google, once signed in to your account, click 'sites'. From this point with google it is pretty self-explanatory. Their templates are fantastically easy to use. Just write a good article about your product or your niche, add some reviews, add some great pictures pertaining to it, add testimonials if you have any and then link to your clickbank product or to your own product's site [if you have one]. To give credit where credit is due, I strongly recommend you also try viviti.com to set up free mini sites. Google will not allow you to put a paypal link on your site, and viviti will. With clickbank products, this doesn't really matter, but it's good to have if you need it. Viviti is very paypal friendly, and even has a widget to help you make a 'buy it now' or 'donate' button with paypal. Both sites also allow adsense to be used on your mini sites, with is great to add extra revenue. Just having adsense on your site will make you money as long as you get traffic flowing in!
3.
Backlink and bring in traffic. Now that you have your mini site set up and looking pretty, you need visitors. The more visitors you have, the better chance you have at getting SALES. Backlink to your site by visiting blogs, articles and other sites related to your product or niche where you can leave open comments. Leave comments that compliment the writer of the blog or article, or compliment the usefulness of the site. Leave ideas and issues for others to comment on, then leave a link to your mini site stating 'check this out for more resources' or anything along those lines in your words. Make articles on other free sites such as hubpages.com and squidoo.com. Write about your product or niche, and leave behind more links to your mini site. Next bookmark your site on a massive scale! I suggest trying onlywire.com or socialmarking.viviti.com. I use onlywire and socialmarking.viviti.comto automatically bookmark my sites to the top 20 social sites like de.lici.os, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Jumptags, just to name a few. There are MANY more sites you can add to your onlywire account, then just click ONE button and it will bookmark your site to all of the ones you've chosen!
4. Upkeep! Now you're set up with a profitable mini site! Use trial and error. Adjust your settings, pictures and wording. Make several mini sites. They can all be the same product or niche, or totally different ones. I suggest bookmarking your sites daily using onlywire, but no less than 2-3 times per week. Keep writing new articles on Hubpages and Squidoo, adding new content and always linking back to your mini site! Track your Adsense account, as you might be suprised with it too! Keep that traffic coming, have some patience, and within a few months you'll be reaping the reward of your hard work!

How to Trace a Fake IP
Identify the IP Address
1. Identify the IP address you would like to trace. The IP address can be found in email headers and is sometimes found in server or login information from bulletin boards, forums and other online services. The IP address will look like this: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX. Each position in the address may be one, two or three numbers.
2. Trace an IP address using a free service such as What is My IP, IP-Address, or Arul John. Type the IP address into the search box and click the 'Search' or 'Enter' button. Some servers will show you each 'hop' the route takes until it lands on the IP address for which you are searching. Other servers will just show you the originating server information of the IP address.
3. Trace an IP address from your computer using the 'tracert' function in the DOS Command Prompt. Access the command box by clicking 'Start' and selecting 'Run.' Type 'cmd' in the dialog box and click 'OK.' When the Command Prompt opens, type 'tracert' followed by the IP address. It will look like this: tracert 192.168.1.1. The 'tracert' function will return the name and IP address of each server contacted on the way to the destination IP. The final entry will show the IP address you searched, followed by the name of the server that issued the IP address.

How to Make Money Using Adwords Keyword Tool
1. Find a medium through which to publish online — one that will allow you to run Adwords ads. The obvious and simplest choice is to start a blog, something of which Google is very fond. Start a Blogger or Wordpress blog for free and start creating content.
2. Use the Adwords keyword tool in order to help you earn the most amount of money online. There's two ways this tool will help you. The first is is finding keywords that receive high search volume. If you write your content around themes that don't receive any searches, you won't make money. Get high search volume topics, such as health or personal finance, and write around those central themes.
3. Secondly, use the Adwords keyword tool to find keyword phrases that have high cost per click. If advertisers are paying several dollars for each click, you will earn more money every time someone clicks those ads.
4. Sign up for Google's AdSense advertising program and insert the given code to run the ads on your website. Google will browse your site to run ads that are related to the keywords you are using. These are inobtrusive, relevant ads that blend right in with your website. Every time someone clicks one of those ads, you'll make money.

How to Make Online Passive Income
1. Prepare for multiple streams of passive income. Some great sites for passive income includes ehow, Associated Content, Google Adsense, Clickbank, and other online affiliate programs.
2. Make a 'plan of attack' and stick to a very specific schedule. Don't write '$20 passive online income by the end of the month.' Make goals that are work based, like 'write 20 AC articles and 20 ehow articles by the end of the month' and then break this down to weekly or daily goals.
3. Study each site for pros and cons. An Associated Content article is not the same as an ehow article, and Adsense is a whole different game altogether, but all provide great opportunities to make passive income online.
4. Look up the experts and learn from them. If you want to learn about Adsense, find Grizz's blog. If you want to make money on AC, look for authors with a '10' rating or higher. Look in the ehow forums or check out Writer Gig's ebook if you want to know how to increase earnings at ehow.
5. Work hard and work a lot. The benefits of online passive income, or most residual income for that matter, comes after months of really hard work to set up the long term benefits. The more work you put in, the more benefits you will sow.
6. Keep at it, and re-spin your articles. An original and unique ehow article can easily be re-written to a unique and original AC article, and might be on a topic that would make a good Adsense blog.
7. Always keep learning, and always keeping working. It does pay off. If you work hard and keep testing and trying out new things, then eventually you'll enjoy a very good stream of passive income.

How to Set Up a Fundraiser Webpage
1. Obtain an '.org' website domain name. The 'org' domain name was created specifically for nonprofit organizations.
2. Set up your website with five main pages: homepage, about the cause/charity, goals and mission, list of supporters, and make a donation. Create a menu at the top of left-hand side of the page that lists all of these pages with links.
3. Write a summary of your charitable cause on the homepage. Be sure to include the full name of the organization and a few photos pertaining to the charity. Place a counter on the front page of your fund-raising page to keep track of your fund-raising goal and money raised to date.
4. Discuss the charity for which you are fund raising in more detail on your 'about the cause' page. Talk about the people or animals who will benefit from the donations. If this is a fund-raiser for a special event, such as a walk-a-thon, be sure to give clear details about the date, time and location of the event on both the 'about the cause' and the homepage.
5. Clarify your fund-raising goal on the 'goals and mission' page of the website. List the amount of money that you need to raise and the date by which it needs to be received. If the charity has a mission statement, include it on this page.
6. Provide a running list of the people and companies who have supported your charity on a separate page. This will reward the givers and help motivate others to give. You can highlight people who give over a certain amount and set up a gold, silver and platinum giver level. Include links to the websites of companies that donate to the cause.
7. Create a 'make a donation' page to give information on how the viewer can donate funds. Provide a link to an online payment service or a mailing address to send checks and money orders. Be sure to clarify the giver levels that you defined in the last step.
8. Provide web visitors with proof of your non-profit status on both the home page and the 'about the cause' page with a link to either the IRS determination letter that you received or a link to your state's list of charitable organizations. (When you file your taxes as a nonprofit, your status is listed with the state.) You can also join a trusted state association (search the National Council of Non-Profits state database at councilofnonprofits.org/salocator) that lists all certified non-profits.
A visitor can only deduct a donation made with your site on his taxes if you have 501(c)3 status.
Be sure to explain to your visitors how you will be able to provide a receipt to prove the donation. The PayPal or other online receipt should be enough proof, as long as you do have 501(c)3 status.
9. Set up a blog on the website to communicate with your viewers and give them updates about your fund-raising progress. You can also make the blog your homepage and update visitors about your progress regularly.

How to Develop Sell Turnkey Websites
Developing Turnkey Websites
1. Determine which open source web programming software will best suit your needs. For instance, Joomla is a great content management system that can be used to easily create magazine type websites and subscription based sites. While Wordpress is great for developing a quick blog type site with easy-to-build content, thanks to a great admin area. Then there's Drupal and PHPFox for social networking type sites, and so on and so forth. OpenCMS offers a great resource for finding the best software for your website building needs.
2. Install the website building program you decide to use. For some applications, you may be able to use a one button installer known as 'Fantasico,' so you'll need to check with your provider to see if simple installs are available. If simple installs are not an option, read the readme file that comes with your download.
3. Choose a 'template' for your program. Most applications such as Wordpress and Joomla offer free and premium templates that can be installed to give your website an immediate professional or fun look.
4. Write content and upload it to your site. A basic niche website should contain at least 5-10 pages of original content, while larger websites will obviously require more work. The content should focus on a certain topic that gives the website a certain focus.
5. Publish the new content to the website.
Selling A Website Once It Offers Content
6. Visit popular website selling sites such as Sitepoint and forums.digitalpoint. These sites allow users to list their sites and what they offer.
7. Make sure to include important site information with your free listings such as: Number of Visitors, Whether the content is original, Revenue currently being made, and any other pertinent info, such as the platform the site is based on and the host currently being used, along with terms of the sale.
8. Set a BIN (Buy It Now) price for the website. If it's a quick site you set up in a few hours you probably don't want to go to high with the price, but make sure to include in the pricing structure all of the work that went into the website.
9. Accept payment from the winning bidder and then transfer the site to the winner and make sure they accept the transferred files. Set up terms as to when you can delete the pages from your own server.

How to Start A Blog for Free
1. Browse to one of the sites listed in Resources.Blogger is integrated with Google Adsense, which can make you a little cash on the side if your blog becomes popular. Google also allows you to claim a domain name for your blog. Instead of myblog.blogger.com, it could be myblogsite.com. On the downside, Blogger doesn't offer much in the way of simple customization. Beyond the basic layout changes through their admin interface, you'll need to dive into the HTML and CSS to change things.WordPress, on the other hand, is free to install on any website you already own, which means complete customization. They host blogs on their site, but these have fewer options for end users. Integrating ads into a WordPress blog isn't as quick as with Blogger, but you can use any ads you like, instead of being restricted to Google Adsense.Tumblr is a little different from the other two – it's minimalistic and there are fewer personalization features, but the simple interface and follow system (similar to Facebook's like and repost system) has appeal for some users, especially more casual bloggers.
2. Sign up with the site by choosing a name for your blog, entering your information, username, password and email.Try to be descriptive when choosing the name for your blog – the name will help readers find your blog in search engines.
3. Choose a template or theme for your blog. Themes and templates can always be changed later, if you're in a hurry. If you're having difficulty picking a theme, consider your readers and the subject of your blog. The most obvious difference between blogs is the theme – a technology blog rarely looks like a home gardening blog, for example, in part because of the theme. If you understand what your readers will find most appealing, choosing a theme along that line will add some extra flair to your blog.
4. Make your first posting or customize your blog.
How to Use HTML in WordPress Text Widget
1. Visit yoursite.com/wp-admin and log into your WordPress dashboard. Click 'Appearance' and then 'Widgets' in the left-hand menu. On the right-hand side of the screen are your website's sidebars and other widget-capable areas, named things like 'Sidebar' or 'Footer Widget Section.' These names usually describe the section of the page they effect. Click on the one you want to work with to expand it.
2. Find the 'Text' widget in the middle of the 'Widgets' page and drag and drop it into the sidebar of your choosing. You can add as many 'Text' widgets to as many sidebars as you like.
3. Fill in the title if you wish a title to appear over the widget's content when you visit the site. Leave it blank if you do not want a title. Paste your HTML code into the bottom input field of the 'Text' widget. Check that the checkbox at the bottom is not checked, because automatic paragraphs will interfere with your HTML code. Click the 'Save' button to update the widget with your new content.

How to Increase Revenue Solving Customer Complaints
1. CUSTOMER COMPLAINT SOFTWARE: The quickest way to address problems if you are experiencing difficulty with high number of customer loss. Some CRM software or customer complaint software may help in identifying what you need to do and repair the exodus.
2. REVENUE: Recognize that your customer that verbalizes a complaint is doing you a HUGE favor. You don't need to spend money on focus group to find out why a customer is unhappy. Recognize that your customer is your revenue base and they are not leaving yet. Customers with satisfactory resolution to problem will increase your revenue 3x. They will have greater loyalty and perhaps bring in more customers.
3. LISTEN: When the customer is talking do not be defensive. Listen to the vent and try to understand what they are saying. Write down the complaints and let the customer know you are happy they have told you this.
4. VALIDATE and ASK : Validate customer concerns and let them know you are taking it seriously. ASK them what they would like to see happen to resolve their problem. Most of the time customers are reasonable. If a customer is unreasonable you have to decide whether to close the back door on them or not. If a customer has a reasonable solution implement it immediately.
5. PROACTIVE: Do not wait for your customers to complain. If you offer guarantee, implement it before customer asks if at all possible. A strong loyal customer will bring in more revenue. Any perceived losses by being proactive will be offset with increased customer loyalty. Remember normally it costs more to gain new customers than to retain your customer base. Be proactive, if a customer does leave find out WHY.
6. DEFINE CUSTOMER SERVICE: Define and write out what the company considers is great customer service. Refine the expectation and communicate it throughout your company. Excellent customer service can be learned. Go to a company that is known for customer service and ask if you could sit in on a training program. Read books and websites that deal with customer service.
7. Your customers are gold. It takes less money to retain a customer than to obtain a new customer. Enjoy your increased revenues.
8. I had to add this last step, because today I had best customer service from Office Max on a return. The service person RAY was awesome. He smiled, listened and did return in a way that took extra time for him. As a result I took time to ask a couple questions about ad matching etc. I will be back to that store as much as I can now. THANKS

1. Find a domain registration site that offers .tv URLs. ChannelMe.TV and Register.com are two companies you can consider.
2. Perform a search to see if your URL is already being used. A .tv domain can be used for both commercial and personal reasons. The name should be easy to remember and not already in existence.
3. Reserve the domain name by completing registration with your selected site. Most sites charge you a fee, but include numerous services with your account. You'll probably get a starter website and an optional email account.
4. Begin using your .tv URL. Once you have completed the registration process, your .tv URL goes live. Record the easy to remember name and begin setting up your website.
5. Add your URL to the major search engines. Once your .tv site is set up and ready to go, register it with Google, Yahoo and AOL. You can also submit the site to smaller search engines to get even more web traffic.

Does the Content Network Affect CTR?
Definitions
Click-through rates refer to the percentage of visitors to a page who click on your ad. For example, if 2 out of 100 people who visit a Web page click on your ad, your CTR is 2 percent. Because the rate changes so much from ad to ad, you need to test all your ads individually to see which ones get the better click-through rates. However, Google does recommend 1 percent as a reasonable starting goal.Content networks are groups of website owners who publish ads that are provided by the network owner. The website owners place a special code in their Web pages to serve these ads. Examples include Google AdSense, AOL Advertising and Chitika.
Importance
Getting a high click-through rate can be important in some situations. For example, Google uses CTR as one factor in your Quality Score, which can increase your number of ads while lowering the cost per click. CTR is particularly important if you are paying by the impression instead of by the click. This is because you are paying for your ads no matter how seldom someone clicks on them.
Ad Placement
Compared to search-engine advertising, several factors could reduce the CTR on content networks. The first factor is ad placement. Search-engine ads that appear in search results generally appear near the top or on the side of the results. Conversely, website owners in content networks can place their ads almost anywhere on the page. Some publishers even place their ads at the bottom. Because many surfers never even see these ads, such placement negatively affects CTR. In addition, different networks can produce different CTR rates because they have a different group of publishers.
Keyword Targeting
When advertising in search engines, you select which keywords to bid on and can track which keywords are getting the best CTR. With content networks, you are typically at the mercy of the ad-serving technology. This means that sites producing a low CTR will continue to show your ads despite the poor performance. However, services such as Google allow you to select your desired ad placement and other options when using the content network. By testing these options, you can attempt to reduce the negative effects on click-through rates.
Warnings
The conversion rate is also important to your bottom line. For example, if you pay $1 per click, you would have to sell one $100 item every 100 visitors to break even. That is just your gross sales, so you have to consider other expenses. According to a Google study, the average conversion rate on its content network was lower than search-engine conversions by about 28 percent. However, in the case of Google, that number was offset by a similar decrease in costs per click for network ads.
How to Calculate Revenue Maximization
Three Steps to Revenue Maximization
1. Determine who your customers are. A convenience store’s customers might consist of people driving by the store. Our convenience store owner should determine the distinct characteristics of these customers. Are they travelers or commuters? What is their most frequented destination? Travelers driving to Wichita, Kan., might have different needs than morning commuters going downtown. Most customers would not drive too far out of their way to find a convenience store, location is extremely important for maximizing revenue.A clothing store’s customers might also consist of foot traffic, but potential customers could be anyone attracted to the store’s styles. A clothing store owner would want to determine gender, age, size, and cultural preferences of customers. The owner could then purchase a mailing list from a marketing firm to send out catalogs.
2. Determine the most effective advertising media. Communicating with your customers requires learning when and where they might want to purchase your product. Our convenience store owner may determine that his customers purchase his product while driving in their cars. He might benefit most from purchasing billboard advertisements. Our clothing store owner might determine that her customers are career-minded women in their mid-20s. She learns that over 50 percent of this demographic group has a Facebook page. Therefore, she might create a Facebook page for the store, or, purchase advertising space from Facebook. Most businesses, regardless of what type of advertising is chosen, should set up a website where customers may find out more information about your product. Other types of media are radio, newspaper, television, email, and telemarketing.
3. Determine the right price for your product. Determine how much control you have over the price of your product. This requires defining your competitive market. There are four types of competitive markets: monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic competition, and perfect competition. Monopolies exist when there is one supplier. In many communities, the local power company may be the only option for electricity, meaning that the power company has a monopoly over that market. An oligopoly is when there are few suppliers in the market. One example of an oligopoly is the cola industry. While there are several smaller suppliers, the market is dominated by Pepsi and Coca-Cola. Monopolistic competition is an industry where there are many suppliers with slightly differentiated products. The t-shirt industry is an example of monopolistic competition. There are many t-shirt companies that sell t-shirts with slightly different features. Perfect competition is an industry where there are many suppliers selling identical products. An example of perfect competition is the stock market. A share of Microsoft stock is the same product no matter who the stockbroker is. The lone company in a monopoly has the most control over its price, while the company participating in a perfectly competitive market has virtually no control over price. Most companies fit in a monopolistic competitive market. Our convenience store owner participates in a market close to perfect competition. While he might be able to distinguish his store slightly from his competitor across the street by offering cleaner bathrooms and homemade cinnamon rolls, he cannot price his fuel higher, as customers do not differentiate this product. However, our clothing store owner, who participates in monopolistic competitive market, must do more research to determine the best price for her products. She can research competitors with similar customers and products to determine best price, or she can test the market by offering different prices for the same item to determine which price maximizes sales dollars.
How to Change the Spacing After Removing the Sidebar in WordPress
1. Log in to WordPress and select 'Editor' from the 'Appearance' theme. Click the 'Stylesheet.css' file.
2. Scroll down to 'Content.' Peruse the sub-division for the name of the 'div' that bordered the side bar when you had it on the page. If the sidebar sat on the right, this is likely to be 'contentleft;' while if you deleted a sidebar that was on the left side of the page, the div in question was 'contentright.'
3. Open the 'page.php' file. Scroll down to the element that specifies parameters for the div you need to change, be it or and add the follow element within the brackets:style='width: 920px;'So that it looks like this:Click 'Save.'
4. Click 'Save.' Open the blog in a new window or tab to see that the main section of the page now occupies its entire width.

Google Ads Information
Google AdWords
Adwords is Google's advertising program for advertisers to place their ads on the Internet. Advertisers can choose to have their ads placed only on the Google search website, or on the network of AdSense websites. Advertisers pay a fee to Google each time someone clicks on their ads. This is called 'pay-per-click' advertising. Advertisers select keywords for their ads, and bid on how much they are willing to pay. When someone searches on Google, ads relating to the keywords the visitor typed are shown above the search results and on the sidebar of the Web page. Advertisers with the highest bids are given priority.
AdWords Policies
Google requires that its AdWords advertisers comply with guidelines in the phrasing of ads. Google requires that ads are clear and accurately describe what they are advertising. Ads that do not adhere to the guidelines will be rejected. For example, words must be spelled correctly. The ads must also use acceptable grammar and spacing. Misleading ads are also unacceptable to Google. For example, if a product is being advertised in an ad, the product must be available on the website it links to.
Google AdSense
AdSense is Google's program for publishers who want to place ads on their Websites. Publishers can decide what types of ads are placed on their websites. Choices include text ads or images, banners, boxes, and search fields. Publishers decide where the ads are going to appear on their web pages. They can also filter out ads from specific advertisers, including competitors. Ads placed on the web pages are matched with the content of the page. When a visitor to the website clicks on one of the ads, Google shares a portion of the revenue they receive with the website publisher.
AdSense Policies
Google has strict policies for publishers using AdSense. If a publisher violates the policies they can be banned from AdSense. Publishers cannot click on ads on their own web pages. They cannot encourage visitors to click on ads. Google also has policies on what types of websites can contain AdSense ads. For example, ads cannot be placed on pages that contain, or that link to sites that contain, pornography, violent content, pages promoting racial intolerance or illegal activity and sites that sell drugs, alcohol or tobacco.
Adwords Costs and AdSense Revenue
The cost of running AdWords ads varies widely, from a few cents per click to over ten dollars, depending on the keywords you are targeting. Generally, the more often a word or phrase is searched for on Google, the more expensive the ad will be. Google will provide estimates based on the keywords you are targeting. In AdSense, the amount you earn for each click is a percentage of what the advertiser pays. At the time of publication, this is 68 percent for content ads, and 51 percent for search ads. Google provides publishers with a daily report showing page views, clicks and revenue.
How to make extra money online
1. Ehow is a reputable and free site where you can share your knowledge with other members and make money. It is a slow process, but over time you can make a decent chunk of extra money. All you have to do is sign up for the writer's compensation program (WCP) and write 'How To' articles. These articles can be as simple as 'How to brush your teeth' to as complex as 'How to Build a Detached Garage'. I have been doing this sporadically for several months. I made about $17 in the first few months but I have less than 20 articles posted. The more articles you post and the more active you are in the Ehow community, then the more money you will make. Check out my other articles on Ehow.
2. Start your own website. You could sell products and services or just post information and make money from advertisements on your site. Sign up for Google Adsense and you can make money when visitors click on your ads. I created a free website on FreeWebs.com. There are many free web hosting services out there. You can do a Google search or even an Ehow search to find more free sites.
3. Start your own blog and use Google Adsense so you can make money when visitors click on your ads. You can write about anything you want. Check out the different blogging sites that I have listed on my personal website listed below in the Resources section. Check out Xomba in the resources section. It is a very popular blogging site so you should get a decent amount of traffic.
4. Sell items on Ebay. This is the most obvious choice, but there are so many opportunities to make money on Ebay. Find a niche that works for you or sell old stuff around the house.
5. Sign up for a seller account on Amazon.com. Sell your old college books and regular books on Amazon to make some extra money and get rid of some of the clutter in the house.
6. Sign up on DayTipper.com. This is a new site for me so I am still testing it out. I have posted one tip and it was approved. When it is published, I should receive a one-time $1 payment. This tip only took me 2 minutes to write. If you are creative, you could really make some quick cash.
7. Sign up on Epinions.com. You get paid to write your opinion about different things. I have signed up for this site and submitted one review. Reviews must be at least 200 words to qualify for income share. I will continue to test this site out and provide more information at a later time.
8. If you are artistic then sign up for CafePress.com. You can upload your artwork and set up a store. You can choose which items you would like to have your artwork printed on like t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, etc. The website supplies all the products so you don't pay anything and you earn a very nice commission when your product sells. Ehow member AlmondSpecial was kind enough to share this in my comments section. Please check out her article about CafePress in the Resources section.
9. Etsy.com - This site allows you to buy or sell any handmade items. Check it out. You could sell homemade jewelry, clothing, t-shirts and more. I have not used this site, but it is reputable and has a broad range of opportunities.
10. Lulu.com - this site allows you to upload your digital creations. It can include photos, artwork, or even a manuscript. I have not tried this site, but it is reputable as well.
11. Sign up for Hubpages. You can write articles and receive money for Google Adsense, and also for signing up to be an affiliate for Amazon and eBay. You can really make some money here. See the links below for some great articles that were written on HubPages about earning extra money.

How Google Adsense Works
All Programs
For all the AdSense programs, you can choose where the ad content appears on your site. You also have some influence in choosing what content Google will display on your site. You can filter out the ads from sites that compete with yours, or ads that don't relate to your site's content or that are offensive.
Eligibility
Before you can choose parameters for the AdSense ads, your site has to meet Google's criteria. These include the following: You must be at least 18 and have a website. If you don't have a site, you can use a blogging site such as Blogger, WordPress or TypePad.
AdSense for Content
The AdSense for content program places ads on your site that are relevant to your site's content. For example, if your site is about notable painters throughout the history of art, you can choose to have Google show ads for people promoting products like artist supplies, picture frames, online art lessons, and other goods or services related to art. When you sign up for this AdSense program, Google presents a series of screens that let you choose how ad content will appear. For example, you can choose text-only ads to prevent large images from distracting your site's visitors. You can also choose ad size and font to integrate the ad's look with that of your site. After completing these option screens, Google gives you the HTML code to place on your site's pages. After installing this code and uploading the page to your server, Google starts delivering the ads.
AdSense for Search
Googles AdSense for search program gives you another benefit besides ad revenue: a search engine for your site. In the configuration screens for this AdSense program, you tell Google where on your site you want to place the search engine. You can also indicate which specific pages of your site you want searched. When your site's visitors use the search engine to locate content on your site, ads appear at the top of the search results--just as they do when you use the regular Google search engine.

How to Insert Banners in Between WordPress Posts
1. Open the 'Appearance' menu on the left side of the WordPress dashboard, and then click 'Editor.'
2. Click the 'Main Index Template' link on the right side of the page to edit the index.php file for your WordPress theme.
3. Locate the code '
' or '
' in the main area of the page. If you do not see either of these, click 'loop.php' on the right side of the page to edit that file instead of index.php. Place the cursor at the beginning of the line, and then press 'Enter' to create a new blank line above the code. Move the cursor to the blank line.
4. Enter the code

5. Locate the code '
' or '
' in the file, and place the cursor at the start of a blank line immediately above the code.

7. Click the 'Update File' button at the bottom of the page.

How to Make Money as a Clickbank Affiliate
1. Build a website. Blogger and Wordpress offer free blogs, and you can buy a domain if you don't want the 'blogspot' or 'wordpress' sub domain name added.
2. Choose A Niche You Want To Promote. It is easier to get sales an products that you know something about. Use your website to promote products similar to your niche and it will be easier to convert leads into sales. Many advertisers make the mistake of promoting a wide range of products when it is easier to sell when you are viewed as reputable.
3. Choose Quality Products That Have High Conversion Rates. Having the most expensive products doesn't mean people will buy it. The more inexpensive the product, and the better the quality and conversion rate, the higher the chance they will buy. Search around for sites and other affiliate programs that have the right type of products you want.
4. Promote your website. Make accounts with YouTube, Myspace, Stumbleupon, Digg, and Facebook and invite users to check out your website. Make videos on youtube talking about your website and interact with others in the community. Some people will promote you if they find your website helps them, and that leads more people to your page, leading to more views for the product you sell.
5. Consider making a free members area. If people are interested in your website they will join and you can add them to your mailing list and offer them products occasionally. Don't spam them though. You want to build trust and actually offer them helpful items.
6. Keep Working At It. There are many ways to make a quick buck, but they can not compare to the lasting effect of building traffic and interest in your site. Keep working at optimizing your website and fine tuning the products you sell. Mess around with features and bring freshness to your page and you will benefit. You too can have success with affiliate marketing if you work at it.
Google AdSense Revenue Tips
Contrast Ads to Design
A study by The Software Usability Research Laboratory at Wichita State University found that contrast works well. Google suggests that blended ads work well, but study results show the opposite. Participants in the study were attracted to high-contrast ads, while ignoring ads that blended with the design. This indicates that using high-contrast ads can result in more clicks and income because the ads attract more attention.
Place Ads High
Joel Comm, author of 'The AdSense Code,' recommends placing Google ads above the fold of your website. Ads above the fold appear at the top of the page and are visible without scrolling down or across. According to Comm, people are more likely to read and click ads that appear before they get distracted by reading your website content.
Wide Over Tall
Google reports that wide ad sizes outperform tall ad sizes. Google goes on to say that If positioned well, wide ad sizes can significantly increase earnings. Large-rectangle 336-by-280 ads, medium-rectangle 300-by-250 ads and wide skyscraper 160-by-600 ads are high performers. However, you should only choose these sizes if they are suited to the page.
Increase Keyword Density
Google feeds ads to your website based on its content. If Google decides your page is about widgets, then widget ads will appear on your website. Keywords are how Google determines what your website is about. In order to attract ads related to your website's topic, you must use relevant keywords. When an ad's content matches your website content, visitors are more likely to click the ad.
