How to Generate Money Posting Google AdSense Links

1. Write down a list of keyword phrases that generate traffic in a niche you're interested in. Google helps you through their keyword generator, a link on their site. You can find out the competition from advertisers — the higher the better for you — and how many searches per month the keyword phrase generates.

2. Use the keyword in the domain name of your site. If the phrase isn't available, add a number or word at the end. For example 'how to reduce debt' is already used, add now, fast, right away, or quickly to the domain name.

3. Register the domain name and hire a web host. Most hosts give you the option of hosting a blog or a static website. The blog requires no coding on your part. The installation can be controlled from your control panel of your web host.

4. Write 10 blog posts of about 400 words each. Each post should be written around a keyword phrase related to your domain name. Use the phrase in the title of the blog and at least twice, but not more than four times in the body of the blog post. Post the blogs every other day.

5. Apply for a Google AdSense publisher account. Continue to post to your blog every three days or so until your Google account is approved.

6. Set up the types of ads you want. Google gives you the option of different sizes of ad blocks as well as colors. For example, the 120-by-600 size is meant to appear in a side bar of your web page. Copy the code and place it on your blog.

7. Promote your blog using backlinks and article distribution. Tweet your posts, ping them and use social bookmarking as well. Driving traffic to your website is key. The more traffic the higher the probability your ads will be clicked on. You only get paid for a clickthrough.

How to Build an Advertising Website

Use unique content strategies and design to drive traffic and gain advertisers.

1. Determine the industry category for the website. Define the specific category or categories that will have appeal for prospective advertisers. For example, a site about furnishing a first apartment could target furniture manufacturers, home-décor and home-improvement retail stores for advertising. Make a list of every type of company and advertising prospect to target.

2. Determine the advertising category. Sites developed for consumers are business-to-consumer (B2C) sites. Those targeting businesses are business-to-business (B2B) sites. Focus on serving one or the other or having two separate sites so that the content and advertising is appropriate for specific target audiences.

3. Design the website based on the industry, advertising and audience category. A site for consumers should include relevant content and information that connects with the products being advertised. A B2B site should include timely news and updates to help industry professionals stay current on trends and topics. Consider adding an RSS news feed to stay abreast of articles in trade publications and to receive press releases from trade associations and major companies. Hire freelance writers who understand search engine optimization (SEO) to create content that is rich in keywords to increase chances of getting listed on major search engines.

4. Incorporate affiliate advertising, which allows you to advertise another company's products or services and receive commissions in return. It is better to launch a site with some type of advertising, even if it isn't initially paid for. Affiliate advertising allows that opportunity and can generate revenue each time a site visitor clicks an ad (pay-per-click) or redirects to a site to purchase an item or service.

5. Explore drop shipping. The site can also generate revenue through drop-shipping relationships. This allows you to advertise products and services without having to actually warehouse items or fill orders. The site visitor places the order on your site, and you send the order to the respective companies for fulfillment.

6. Set advertising rates. Determine how much you will charge for various online ad formats (banner ads, skyscrapers, rich media videos, etc.). Develop a media kit or rate card that prospective advertisers can download as a PDF from your site under a special tab for advertisers. Explore sites in your category to find out the going rates. Understand that until you generate sufficient website traffic, you will have to offer low rates.

7. Promote the site to build website traffic. Use e-mail marketing to drive visitors to the website. Purchase e-mail marketing lists to promote the site to consumers and businesses when it is ready to launch and 'go live.'

How to Become an Internet Millionaire

1. Explore e-commerce. You can do this by selling your own product or service directly or by finding things you want to sell through an affiliate program, where you earn a percentage for everything that’s sold through your site. Companies such as Clickbank, the leading retailer of digital products, allows you to choose the products you want to feature on your website or blog and earn a commission for each one that is sold there (see Resources below).

2. Work on passive income. This is definitively key to earning large amounts of cash with minimum effort, which frees you up to work on other projects at the same time. Residual income simply means money that comes in without you having to work for it, such as earnings from a rental property, royalties from a book, earnings from advertisement and interests from securities and other bonuses. Passive income can also come from selling your own digital products through Clickbank by uploading the work and allowing others to promote it for you.

3. Set up your own website and sell advertisement. Revenue programs like AdSense can get you started until you have generated enough traffic to get paid advertisers in your site. Selling ad space is actually one of the top money earners for blog and website owners. Companies such as Smorty will allow you to promote your blog and match you with potential advertisers willing to pay what you're asking (see Resources below).

4. Teach others what they want to know. Some of the top online earners are coaches or experts who are teaching others a set of skills highly in demand, such as becoming a writer, losing weight or earning money from home. Most of these programs are automatic, which means your only job would be to promote the links, and wait for people to buy in.

5. Think long term. Any program that promises to make you an online millionaire in a short time is probably a scam. Instead of going after quick-rich-schemes, work your way through by investing time and effort in things that will generate income for a long period of time.

6. Blog. Many of the current internet millionaires are actually bloggers. Paula Neal Mooney’s annual list of millionaire bloggers offers a breakdown of who is making money online and how. Examples include people offering free website templates, an online dating site and a Q&A blog. All these people are earning over a million dollars a year using advertising as their main revenue source. Free blog platforms such as Blogger are great to get started or you can buy your own domain name and set up affiliate links and other advertising not allowed on free blogs.

Ways to Promote a Parked Domain

Parked Domains Depend on Natural Traffic

Domain parking companies rely upon domain name owners to submit quality names that are good candidates for natural Web traffic. Natural traffic is Internet traffic acquired by people who type a search term directly into a browser's menu bar, or by people who type a search term into a search engine and click on a link. Search engine traffic is also known as organic traffic.

Examples of Natural Traffic

A person might type in bluewidgets.com into a Internet browser menu bar and assume that a page about blue widgets will load in the browser. If you own the domain bluewidgets.com and submit it to a domain parking company, ads related to blue widgets should appear on the parked page.A small chance exists that a person could find your parked page by typing the term 'blue widgets' into a search engine, such as Google, Bing or Yahoo!, but due to a lack of content, parked pages are not optimized to be discovered organically.

Promoting Parked Domains Violates TOS

Virtually all domain parking companies state in their Terms of Service that you cannot drive traffic to your parked pages. For example, Google's Adsense for Domains policy states that 'Publishers participating in the AdSense for domains program...may not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as 'click the ads,' 'support us,' 'visit these links,' or other similar language.'

Monetize Your Domain Name

If you do not like the restrictions of domain parking, you can offer your domain name for sale in the domain name aftermarket. You can earn hundreds or thousands of dollars by selling it, depending on the perceived value of your domain. If you have the skills or budget, you can use your domain name to develop a website. You can create an information resource or blog, or set up an e-commerce site. Once you have populated your site with quality content, you can monetize the site with advertisements.

How to Make Money As a Webmaster From Home

1. Develop websites around a niche topic. Find 'hot' and popular topics using free online tools such as Google Trends and Yahoo Buzz. Choose one of these niches on which you can center a website's main theme. Catering to a specific target market (such as people interested in weight loss) makes for a better, organized site than one that contains a variety of topics. Create multiple niche sites that each targets a different market to have additional potential money-making websites.

2. Promote the websites on the Internet to gain a steady amount of traffic. Join forums related to the topics of your niche websites. Create a forum 'signature' that contains your site link and get involved by posting helpful, relevant information for the forum members. Your niche website link gets seen by visitors and members reading your posts. Tell others about your sites on your social networking profiles such as Facebook and Twitter. Add your website links to popular social bookmarking sites like Digg and Delicious.

3. Sign up for webmaster publishing programs that help you earn money. Register for pay-per-click programs such as Google AdSense and Yahoo Publisher Network--these programs display blocks of text ads on your site and give you a percentage of the revenue when visitors click on ads. Other webmaster programs--like Clicksor and Backlinks.com--allow you to earn money by displaying banner and text-link ads.

4. Sell your own advertising space on your website to other webmasters and advertisers. Create a banner advertising space not devoted to other webmaster programs. Make money by charging advertising fees based on the cost-per-thousand-impressions (CPM) or on a per-week or per-month basis. Sell 'guest' blog posts on your site; charge money to other webmasters and business owners who would like to write about their own business or site.

5. Promote an affiliate program. Find and register an affiliate program through an affiliate network such as Commission Junction, ClickBank, or PayDotCom. Obtain your affiliate link--the URL that tracks how many sales you've made and your commission earnings. Write a blog post or article on your website that discusses the benefits of this product. Include your affiliate link within the blog post so that people can click through to make a purchase.

6. Offer webmaster services on a freelance basis to others. Decide what skills you possess that you can use to help others, such as designing and setting up websites or promoting websites. Go to popular webmaster forums and sites like SitePoint and Digital Point to offer your services. Collect fees using PayPal or another online payment processer.
