How to Increase Local Traffic
1. Use search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to maximize your profile within a designated area through the use of keywords. Think like your potential customers, and anticipate the words they would use in a search engine if they were looking for a local company that offers your services. Include your service and the name of the local area in keywords, such as 'Builders in California' or 'Texas Dentists,' to increase your chances of attracting traffic from search engines. Use the keywords at a density of approximately 3.5 percent on your website pages for maximum effect.
2. Use article marketing techniques to place your company in the eyes of prospective customers with increased regularity. Employ a professional article writer with strong SEO skills to complete the articles on your behalf and ensure the content has a direct association with the products or services you provide. Check to ensure the articles include your chosen keywords, and register them on article directory websites that include links back to your own website. Avoid using writers who flood their articles with keywords instead of using readable, creative content; some search engines penalize this type of 'Black Hat' activity.
3. Build links to your website by registering with business directories that promote the services of local companies. Compile a list of prospective directories, and find out which ones rank on the first pages of the major search engines. Prepare to pay a small annual fee for a directory listing, and talk to business directory sales representatives to find how much extra traffic similar companies are attracting. Ask whether you can pay an additional fee that puts you on the first page of the directory.
4. Join online forums whose members will have a direct interest in your products and services, then add a signature to your posts using the facility provided on the membership control panel. Check to ensure the signature includes a link that takes forum members directly to your website. Use local community forums to attract a wider range of potential customers. If you are offering a specific service, such as auto body repairs, register to as many local automotive forums as possible.

How to Get Paid For Referrals
1. Sign up for all of the referral programs I have listed in the resource section. These are the ones I use and these are the ones that allow me to make passive income every day, whether I am sick or feeling well. I have six kids, so i didn't bother listing the ones I haven't made any money on. Otherwise the list would be forever long and you'd be wasting your time.
2. Create a file on your desktop with all of your referral codes so that whenever you need one you don't have to return to the site, login and copy it again. Keeping it handy ensures that you will not forget to use it as often.
3. Add the signup links into your email signatures, and your message forum signatures.
4. If you have a blog, you should consider writing a blog post about each of these programs in order to share them with your readers. Even if your mother is your only reader, you'll still get paid if she signs up.
5. If you write here at ehow, place your signup links in the resources section of every article you write.
6. If you have a profile on myspace or facebook, linkedin or anywhere else online, make sure you use the referral code URL in your profile, so that your visitors and friends can help you make money by signing up for the referral program
7. Consider sending out an email to everyone in your address book and letting them know about your referrals. A lot of people will sign up if they know that you're going to get credit for it. That's what friends do. Plus, if they decide to refer people it will help them, too. You could change lives with one email.
8. Use Twitter to notify your followers about your earnings and get paid for more referrals. When I tweeted about my passive Bukisa earnings, I signed up a few more referrals. http;//www.tinyurl.com/bukisa try it. My twitter ID is http;//www.twitter.com/mrshannigan , so you can see how that works.
9. Use the graphics that these websites provide for you, place them on your blog or other personal websites. You can create a blog for free on blogger, and on several other websites. The free version of Wordpress won't allow you to place ads, but other free services do allow it.
10. Change your email signature regularly, so that your readers don't get tired of seeing the same old thing
11. If you use a blog subscription program, consider placing a link to one of your referral programs in your footer so that every one of your email readers can have the opportunity to click on it, too.
12. Share your link whenever you hear of someone who is in need of money. if you have a specific page on your website where all of your referral links are located, have that URL handy to share with people in the real world. The checker at the bank, your hairdresser, anyone. People who aren't online a lot have no idea what's available and you can totally change someone's life by introducing them to the wonderful world of online income. In fact, I wish I had met you three years ago. Darnit, you can't let this happen. Quit wasting your time and sign up. Spread the word. Share the news. A new day is upon us and it's up to YOU to... whatever, i lost my train of thought but I'm sure you knew where I was going with that, right? Right down to that resources section. Have a great day.
How to Get a Google AdWords Promotional Code
1. Check with your Web hosting company. Many hosting providers distribute Google AdWords coupons to customers on request. These promotional codes are valid only for a limited time, so you’ll need to set up your new AdWords account and redeem the code in a timely manner.
2. Find promotional codes for Google AdWords by browsing bargain-hunter websites such as FatWallet.com. Members of these communities often find and share promotional codes for AdWords as well as other products and services. A quick online search may yield a number of useful links, but make sure the promotional codes have not expired.
3. Attend a SEO conference. Most participants at these events receive a promotional code for Google AdWords as well as other advertising freebies.
