How to Put Keywords Into Google Ads With AdWords

1. Set up an account with Google AdWords. You will need a Google ID, which can be the same as your ID for other Google services such as Gmail or Adsense. Once you open your account, you will be given the opportunity to enter payment information and set up your ad campaign.

2. Choose the keywords that you want to use for your ad campaign. You can use the keyword tool provided by Google to brainstorm for keywords. When you type in a word, it will give you a list of related keywords that you can use for your ad campaign. Choose from the list of available keywords for your campaign. Your ad can be triggered when someone types in one of these keywords.

3. Write an ad for your campaign based on the keywords you selected. You should include one or two keywords in the headline and the description for your ad. When potential customers are searching for a particular word or phrase in Google, they will be more likely to click on your ad if one of the keywords they are searching for appears in your ad. Think about what the customer would actually be looking for and try to convey this in the ad you write. Avoid errors in grammar and punctuation as this can make your ad look unprofessional. You must limit the ad to 25 characters for the title, 70 characters for the ad text and 35 characters for the displayed URL.

4. Monitor the performance of your ads to see if they are doing well. One way to gauge the success of your ads is to look at the click-through rate. This represents a percentage of how many people are clicking on your ad. For example, if 100 people see your ad and 5 click on it, your click-through rate is 5 percent. When you have a high click-through rate, it improves your ad position with Google and you will not have to pay as much for each click.

About Google AdSense

Function

Google AdSense is a system developed by Google that connects users with relevant advertising via contextually targeted ads. When advertisers want to advertise with Google, they open an AdWords account and choose relevant keywords to target. Webmaster can set up AdSense accounts to display advertisements on their websites. Google then scans the content of the websites and automatically displays relevant ads.

Features

The main feature of AdSense is the opportunity it provides for all parties involved to profit. Google makes money when advertisers pay for ads, advertisers make money by attracting targeted traffic and webmasters make money when visitors to their websites click on ads. The amount that advertisers must pay to target certain keywords is known as the cost per click (CPC). The higher the CPC value of a keyword, the more webmasters make when someone clicks a corresponding ad on their webpages.

Effects

AdSense provides an efficient framework for advertising on the Internet. It has also been used heavily by Internet marketers as a means on generating online revenue. The only major negative effect associated with AdSense is the practice of click fraud. Click fraud is an unethical, and in some cases, illegal tactic in which a person or program imitates a legitimate user and clicks ads. Google actively polices the AdSense program to detect and eliminate click fraud.

Considerations

Click fraud is illegal, so webmasters must be careful not to click the ads on their websites. Webmasters who want to legitimately make money through AdSense should consider the CPC and search volume of keywords that are relevant to their websites. It's important to target keywords that have decent traffic and CPC values to make money. Also, webmasters should not use AdSense indiscriminately. If a webmaster uses AdSense on a site that does not have a clear focus, it becomes more difficult to display targeted ads, which may lead to low click-through rates. If this is the case, a webmaster is likely to be smart-priced, meaning he will be paid less for ad clicks.

Benefits

Their are two main benefits to AdSense. First, advertisers are able to spend money efficiently through pay-per-click (PPC) advertising and reach targeted traffic. Second, webmasters have an extremely easy way to automatically monetize any website. AdSense is especially beneficial on a website that doesn't sell anything because it allows the webmaster to generate revenue based solely on content.

How to Start a Blog to Make Money

1. Use a free blogging platform such as Blogger, or establish a blog on your own website with a top-level domain name. To make money, you can use either, but the latter choice is more professional. If you intend to transform your blog into an entire internet business, purchasing a domain name and professional website hosting is recommended.

2. Make the blog look good. Starting a blog to make money requires some degree of professionalism. Search for quality, attractive blog templates and choose the one that you like the most. Three column designs will leave more room for advertisements.

3. Place contextual advertising, such as Google Adsense, on the blog, and increase traffic to attract more clicks. This is completely passive income and should be a part of every blog business.

4. Sell advertising to other blog owners and webmasters. A simple 'Place Your Link Here for...' button will attract some easy money. However, you can also join online programs that match blogs with advertisers and handle the finances for you. Places like PayPerPost, Smorty, and Blogitive offer opportunities to make money with your blog by writing posts with link backs to advertiser's websites.

5. Market the blog to get visitors. Starting a blog to make money requires little financial expenditure, and advertising can be inexpensive, or even free, as well. Explore the possibilities of article marketing, blogrolling, pay to click advertising, adding links to forum posts and other blog's comment sections. The more links you spread around the internet, the greater the chance of an interested person finding your blog and creating profit for you. Starting a blog to make money only works if you follow up with continued effort.
