How to Make Money at Home on Google

1.

Sign up to a blog site. Blogger.com is a popular one that is used by many. They have instructions that will take you step by step through creating your page.

2. Let your creative writing skills put ideas to your fingertips, and start thinking of articles to type on your blog. It can be about places you've been, new things you've done, experiences you've had. So many things to choose from.

3.

Sign up for an account at adsense.com, but only after you've already gotten your blogs started, and have something for google to view when they decide whether to approve your site. This can take a few days. It took them about 4 days to contact me.

4. It takes a while for your blogs to get exposure. But hang in there, and be patient. It will eventually pay off for you in the long run. When I think of how many views I've gotten on some of my cruise articles that I just gave away to other sites for reviews, makes me sick, when I think of how much I could have made off of my own writing of reviews, if I would have just thought of typing them up on my own blog, and adding adsense coding to my pages. Don't make the mistake, I did..... you start yours now. :)

How to Start Blogging for Money

1. Find a site that has free blogs for anyone who signs up. You can buy a domain name if you prefer, and import free blog software onto it. Or, you can sign up with a site like LiveJournal or Blogger and get a free blog that is customizable and easy to use.

2. Come up with a topic and a name that is memorable. If your site is to have practical information, the title should be straightforward and related to the information category. Start with a post or two to introduce yourself and then dive into posting on the blog regularly. A blog that is updated often will receive more visitors, helping the blog make money.

3. Start loading blog ads onto the site once you have a post or two completed. One of the first things that many people with a new blog do is to sign up to host Google AdSense ads on their blog. Having your own domain means that you keep all of the profits from Google Adsense ads that you run on the site. If you choose a free blog, you will generally split the Google AdSense money with he site's host. However, Google AdSense isn't the only way to make money on a blog. There are other ads that can be run.

4. Think about running contextual blog ads on your blog to make money. Some people find them annoying and some people don't mind them at all. They are ads that will highlight certain words within the text. When a reader runs their cursor over any of the words, blog ads pop up. Companies like Kontera are free to join and make it easier to make money blogging with those ads in place.

5. Sell blog ads to companies and websites that are looking to advertise. There are numerous websites, such as TextLinkAds that pay bloggers to run small blog ads on their blogs. Bloggers can make money blogging by installing the ads and simply collecting a check each month for the advertising revenue.

6. Consider sponsored posts, but always disclose that they are sponsored. There are sites that hook up bloggers with free products and services in exchange for a post on the blog. This must be disclosed because of recently-passed legislation. You don't have to mention your Google AdSense ads or your context ads because they are visible, but if you are making money blogging in other ways, it needs to be disclosed.

How to Block Web Advertising

1. Block ads that are images by setting your browser not to show any images. You may not want to do this if you want to see images that are not ads. To do it, if you have Internet Explorer, go to the Advanced section under the Internet Options in the Tools menu. There is an option that says 'Show Pictures' in the Multimedia section. Click on the button next to it to make this option not selected, if it already is selected. There is a similar option in Firefox, and it is customizable. Open the Options section under the Tools menu, and select the Content tab. You can uncheck the 'Load images automatically' to see no images, or you can add specific websites where you don't want to see images. To do that, click on the 'Exceptions' button next to the 'Load images automatically' option.

2. Set your browser to block pop-up ads. Find this in Internet Explorer under the Tools menu, and in Firefox by selecting 'Tools,' then 'Options' and then looking for the option under the Content tab. Both browsers let you turn on a pop-up blocker and then specify websites that are exceptions where you will allow pop-ups.

3. Install Google Toolbar to block pop-up ads. Google Toolbar is an added set of buttons that can be installed in your browser. Download and install it, and select the option to turn on the pop-up blocker to give you added protection against pop-up ads. You may have to turn this option off occasionally when installing software.

4. Install the Adblock Plus add-on for Firefox. Download it from the add-ons section at the Firefox website. This will block most banner and pop-up ads.

How to Start a Spiritual Business Online

Preparation

1. Decide what kind of service your business intends to offer. Are you, for example, running a spiritual counseling service, a spiritual bookstore or some other kind of store that sells spiritual products?

2. Develop an initial business plan, beginning with an overview of your entire plan; market analysis; company description; organizational structure; a description of the service offered; funding needed; allocation of resources; projected returns; and compliance with state and federal requirements. This will help you make business decisions later on.

3. Choose a domain name. Use the Google AdWords Keywords tool (listed in the Resources) to research the most popular keyword phrase relevant to the service you offer. Consider building your domain name around this phrase. This will help to give your site greater preference in searches for that phrase, which can help drive significant traffic to your site.

4. Use a check/register domain resource tool to check the availability of your chosen domain name. If it is available, register it. If it’s not available, choose another suitable name and keep checking for availability until you find one that’s not in use.

5. Find a Web server host that is able to accommodate the site capabilities you want and that fits within your budget.

6. Design a website. You can learn to do this on your own or hire a Web designer. Some key points to consider: make sure that your site looks professional, that it’s easy to navigate and read, that the design reflects the spirit of your business and that the code is search-engine friendly. When developing your site content, build at least 60 percent of your pages around relevant keyword phrases (no more than two keyword phrases per page).

Up and Running

7. Submit your website to search engines.

8. Promote your site by building link partnerships with spiritually based websites; submit your site to DMOZ and spiritual directories such as spiritualsearch.net or spiritfind.net; write and publish online spiritual articles; start a spiritual blog; create a spiritual forum; create podcasts; start a spiritual newsletter; and join social networking sites. All these things will boost the visibility of your site, and the more you can do, the better.

9. Advertise your site through Google Ads. Link your ad display to relevant keywords.

10. Monetize your site with Google AdSense and similar businesses.

11. Consider starting an affiliate program to further increase traffic to your site.

How to Set Up a Website URL

1. Get a URL. URL stands for uniform resource locater and this is how people find you on the web. Come up with a good name that will communicate exactly who you are and what you do or want to do. You also need to do this with as short a name as possible so that when you tell people your URL, they will be able to remember it. You will have to try several names for your URL, though, because most of the best simple URLs are already taken. Go to a domain name registrar and register your URL. The registrar will let you search for URLs and tell you if they are taken. Some registrars are located in the resource section below.

2. Find a host. To have a website you need to have a place that will host your files. Your files are what comprise your website. A host is the place that keeps all of your files and the URL points to these files. Hosting can range in price from $5 a month to several hundred (as of 2009). For most beginners, the cheap option is fine. IWhen you have a large organization that will have thousands of visitors or more a day, then you need expensive hosting that will accommodate an extremely large amount of traffic. Most hosting companies will give you the ability to register your URL directly with them. This is the best option because if you register elsewhere you will have to point that registrar to your host. This is not extremely difficult but is an extra step.

3. Create a site. To get your site going you will need to create at least one page called a homepage. You will need to either use website creation software or create this manually. It is much simpler to do this with software like Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Some hosts have a built-in tool to help you make pages. You can also use a content management system or CMS. A CMS is software that you install with your host or they may already have it set up to use. Every host provider will give specific instructions on where and how to upload your files and how to use a CMS if they have the ability; you just need to ask the host. Some examples of CMS tools are Wordpress and Joomla. If you are not using a CMS, then your homepage needs to be called index.htm or index.html. The index page is the page that will come up when anyone types in your URL.

4. Learn and improve. Your site is setup and your URL should now be working. Now just start building more web pages and links to improve your site. You can do this by learning some HTML and learning more about your software or CMS tool.

How to Earn Money Using The Internet Today

1. Start a website and sign up with Google or Yahoo's advertising program. You will be paid per sale or per showing of their advertising. After entering their coding in your HTML, you never have to do anything again other than wait for the check.

2. Start a website about a particular hobby or favorite musician or pastime. Using Amazon dot com's affiliate program, put links to books, DVD's, or CD's that may interest people who are visiting your site. You will receive a commission on all sales.

3. Fill in surveys. There are plenty of online survey companies who will pay you for your opinion. Some companies pay as little as $1 to complete, a survey, but others will pay much more. Make sure, though, you never pay THEM - that is a scam.

4. Submit your articles to top paying sites like Associated Content, Hubpages, Today dot com or here on eHow.

5. Start your own personal blog and monetize it using your Google AdSense.
