How to Measure CTR in Natural Search
1. Create Google and Windows Live ID accounts if you do not already have them.
2. Add your website to your Google and Bing Webmaster Tools accounts.
3. Confirm that you own or manage the website by following the instructions for each search engine. To verify your website on Bing, upload an XML file containing your verification code to your website or publish the code on your website’s home page by adding it to a meta tag. After adding the code, click the 'Verify My Site Now' button in Bing Webmaster Tools. For Google, choose from the four available methods: add a DNS record to your domain's registration, use your Google Analytics account, upload a provided HTML file to your website or add a special meta tag to your website's home page. Follow the instructions and click the 'Verify' button to complete the process.
4. Wait for Google and Bing to begin collecting information from your website. Bing indicates that you should allow up to 72 hours before search result information becomes available.
5. Navigate to the sections of the Google and Bing tools that display your search statistics. In Google Webmaster Tools, go to the 'Search Queries' page. In Bing’s tool, visit the 'Rank and Traffic Stats' page.
6. View the CTR for each search term that resulted in your website appearing in search results. Check your CTR periodically to see how changes to your ads affect their effectiveness.
How to Get Approved for Google AdSense
1. Purchase a domain name, sign up for a web hosting subscription and set up a website. Or register an account with a free blogging or website platform where you have access to edit the HTML portion of your site, such as Blogger, Doodlekit or Weebly.
2. Think about and research topics for your website. Decide if you want to focus on a huge category (e.g., health and nutrition) or specialize in a smaller niche (e.g., the organic food niche within health and nutrition). Go online to tools that offer insight into Internet search trends, such as Google Trends, Pandia, Yahoo Buzz, Trendpedia and Microsoft adCenter Labs. Type in a topic or category to determine the topic's general popularity on the Internet.
3. Narrow down the topics for your website. Select a topic that is not prohibited by Google's AdSense program policies. Google won't approve your site for AdSense if it condones violence, gambling, drugs and alcohol, contains adult content, copyrighted material or hacking content, offers 'get paid to' program schemes or promotes other illegal activities.
4. Write articles and/or blog posts related to your topic. Place this content on your site, devoting each page to a single article or blog topic. This results in a targeted website, which helps Google's crawlers to determine what your page is about. Targeted pages also can increase your AdSense success since Google will target ads based on your site's content. Add videos and images to your website to attract readers and so that your site contains something else besides written content.
5. Go to the Google AdSense website (See Resources) and click the 'Sign up Now' button. Enter your website's primary URL (e.g., www.example.com) in the space provided. Type your full name -- the name in which you can accept checks from Google AdSense -- in the 'Payee' field. Enter a valid, complete mailing address and a valid email address at which you want to receive communication about your AdSense application and account. Hit the 'Submit Information' button and wait for Google to review your application.
How to Use Google AdSense
1. Open an AdSense account by signing up with Google and applying to the AdSense program in the My Account area. It is free to sign up with Google, though not everyone who signs up for AdSense is approved. If you don't yet have a website on which to place AdSense ads, sign up for a Blogger account through the Google My Account section and start a blog. That will give you a URL to use when applying for an AdSense account.
2. Choose your Google AdSense options once you have an account. Design each block of ads to create a line border or an open border, a color background or no color, etc. Select the basic size and shape of your Google ads block. Pick either a horizontal block of ads or a vertical block. Each block will have one to four ads on it, depending on the size that you choose.
3. Generate your AdSense ad code — a JavaScript code that may be added to most websites. There are some website hosts that aren't equipped for the code to be pasted onto their sites when using their page builders. BlueHost is one such web host. Some sites, including Blogger, HubPages and Google hosted sites, have a built-in widget to easily add Google Adsense to the sites by simply choosing a spot to place the ads and allowing the site to add the code.
4. Use the text on your page to guide the type of ads that will be shown by Google. AdSense ads are chosen by Google, and you will not be able to hand pick which ads appear on your page. Google advertising runs on relevant ads that are chosen based on the keywords that appear on your page. By choosing plenty of keywords that are relevant to the subject matter of your page, you will ensure that the ads will match up well with your subject matter. To get ideas for keywords, use an online keyword tool like WordTracker to find relevant terms.
5. Keep adding content pages that are monetized with Google advertising. The minimum payout for Google AdSense is $100, so it often takes several months or longer before a new AdSense user reaches it. But, by steadily adding pages, by — for example — frequently updating a blog, your payouts will become more and more frequent.
How to Put a Clickable Ad in an Email
1. Sign up for an ad network company such as Google Adsense, Adbrite or another one. There are many to choose from. Once you sign up, familiarize yourself with how to create an ad.
2. Create an ad space that is of suitable size and color that you want to insert into an email. You can select banner sizes, squares, buttons and leaderboards or more.
3. Highlight the HTML code representing your ad space. Copy it by right-clicking it and selecting 'Copy' or 'Cut.'
4. Compose the email you want to use for your ad space.
5. Select a place to insert the ad code in your email, such as between a couple of paragraphs. You can also put it above your message or below it. Right-click the area and click 'Paste.' This pastes the HTML code of your ad into the email. Looking at it doesn't show the ad, but that is OK. Send the email. Most email clients allow the readers to read HTML in their emails.
How to Reinstate a Facebook Page
1. Log in to Facebook with the email and password from your original account. After logging in, a reactivation email is sent to the email address on your account.
2. Check your email account fro the reactivation email from Facebook. It may take up to 15 minutes to receive the email.
3. Click the reactivation link in the email. Your Facebook account is reactivated.

Difference Between Google Adwords Google Adsense
Google AdWords
AdWords is the part of Google's advertising program used by people advertising a product or website. With AdWords, users can advertise products on both the Google search page as well as other websites that use Google AdSense.
Google AdSense
AdSense is the other half of advertising with Google. AdSense allows website owners to place ads on their website, which are automatically chosen by Google's selection algorithm. Website owners are paid both per-click and per-impression. Ads can either be graphic, or simple text ads.
Bidding
Google selects ads to maximize the earnings of both Google and AdSense users with an algorithm based on a combination of target keywords and the ad's maximum bid. AdWords users create a list of related keywords and set the maximum price they are willing to pay per impression and per click. Google then attempts to find the best ad to display based on the bid and how likely potential customers will click it.
How to Make Money on Internet Click
1. Take advantage of the large database of Google advertisers by finding appropriate content for your website. Google then will select advertisements that are based on the content of your website, so you do not have to find the advertisers, yourself. The more advertising the Google selects for your website, the more money you will make.
2. Make sure that you control the advertisers that appear on your website. For example, without being too selective since it will limit how much you will make, avoid advertisement from companies that compete directly with each other. And constantly upgrade your website as it relates to the quality of advertisers whose messages appear there.
3. Make continuous improvements to your website to increase traffic, because visitors are looking for content that is relevant and easy to read. Your earnings depend on the volume of visitors to your website who click on the advertising that is there.
4. Join two or three online forums that are read by people who may be interested in the content contained on your website. Assume the role of expert by writing a brief version of information contained by your website, and ask them to visit it for the complete article. An active forum has members who ask questions which you should answer, but always make reference to a relevant article on your website. When you see that strategy working, consider finding other forums to join and make contributions.
5. Spend a lot of time on the design of your website to make it as useful and attractive as possible for your visitors. Though you can sign up for Adsense for nothing, you will spend money on the design of your website, the registration of your domain name, and monthly hosting fees of about $25. Your website will always be a work in progress, because you will discover ways to improve it, including implementing various features available for free at Adsense.

The Disadvantages of Advertising on Web Pages
Customer Defection
Most visitors to a website will not mind a few ads to support the website. However, certain ads are considered especially annoying. Pop-up ads are one type of advertisement that discourages visitors. In addition, banner ads that automatically play sound are also disliked. Advertisements that users find obnoxious could lead to defections to competitors' websites.
Search Engine Penalties
Placing too many ads on a website, with not enough content, may harm your Google ranking. In 2011, Google started taking action against 'low quality' websites, which are characterized by a low ratio of unique content to affiliate links. The algorithm classifies these kinds of websites as 'spam' and punishes their Google rank accordingly. Although the details of the algorithm changes are not publicly known, Google announced that it does not treat its own ads any different from competitors ads, so running Google ads will not negate ranking penalties.
Customer Resistance
One disadvantage of relying on advertising for income is that a certain segment of the consumer demographic has a strong distaste for ads, even unobtrusive ones. Some are willing to pay money to make them go away -- hence, the rise of subscription services that remove advertisements among other benefits -- but some will respond with ad-blocking programs such as NoScript. These ad-blockers can hurt advertisers and websites that sell ad space.
Malware And Trojans
Some ad providers do not sufficiently screen ads for potentially malicious software. Hosting these ads on your website may infect visitors to the site with malware. If the infection is traced to the specific site, your website may be blacklisted by search engines and Web browsers -- to say nothing of the damage to your reputation. Sites can remain blacklisted for days while the origin of the malware is tracked down, discouraging new traffic.
How to Find Where My Clicks Originated in Adwords
Basic URL Channels
1. Log into Google Adsense using your Gmail email address and password. Click on the 'Performance Reports' tab at the top of the screen and then on the 'URL Channels' in the menu to the left.
2. Create a new URL Channel to track clicks on sites, such as Hub Pages, Infobarrel and Bukisa, by clicking on the 'Add URLs to Track' button just below the graph showing this month's performance.
3. Type one URL per line in the window that pops up. Use short website addresses by removing the 'http://www.' Make sure your URLs read something like this: 'mywebsite.com,' 'mywebsite.com/pagename,' or 'thirdpartysite.com/articlename.'
4. Close the window once you've finished adding your URLs. URLs along with data related to that URL will appear below the graph on your 'Performance Reports' page, once someone visits your page or when they click one of your ads. Make a note on what URLs get the most traffic and clicks. Use what you learn to increase the traffic to weaker URLs to get even more clicks.
Custom URL Channels
5. Log into Google Adsense by using your email address and password. Click on the 'My Ads' tab at the top of the screen and then on the 'New Ad Unit' button at the top of the page. Fill in the information for your new ad, such as its name, so you can identify its size, colors, text or image ads, and under what channel its data will appear.
6. Select a channel in the 'Custom Channels' box if you've made channels in the past, or click on the 'Create New Custom Channel' link sitting right above it. Use a name you'll remember. For example, if this add will be appearing on your personal site in the sidebar, name it 'Site name, Sidebar.'
7. Click on the 'Save' button on the bottom of the window to add your new custom channel. Notice that the ad you've just made is linked to that channel. So when a user visits that page or clicks on an ad, those stat will appear on your 'Performance Reports' tab beside the URL name 'Site name, Sidebar.'
8. Click on the 'Save and Get Code' button once you're finished and pass that code onto your blog or website. That code will communicate traffic and clicks to Google Adsense so you can get paid.
9. Keep track of what URLs or ad placements perform well. Find out if the deciding factor when it comes to clicks is the size of the ad, colors or placement. Use that data to create new ad channels for even more clicks and ad revenue.

How to Create a Free Business Website With BlinkWeb
1. Set up your account by registering at BlinkWeb (see Resources below). You can start building your site as soon as you're registered.
2. BlinkWeb is similar to many sites that provide free Web building and hosting in a number of ways. What are the similarities? It offers free hosting on a BlinkWeb subdomain or helps you buy your own domain for hosting the site. You can choose from a number of attractive templates. You can add a blog. You can add a number of pages with text, images and video.
3. How is BlinkWeb different from all the others? It's super easy to use. That's a nice plus. The templates and tools are all aimed at marketing. There are widgets that will insert forms and ads from Google and Google AdSense. There's a page type specifically for sales letters. The designs for the templates are business oriented.
4. Other features at BlinkWeb that you may find useful include being able to add your own meta information in the form of keywords and descriptions. The video tutorials are simple and clear if you don't instantly see how to accomplish some task. (You will probably instantly see how to do most tasks, since the interface is a quick drag-and-drop style workspace.)
How to Set Up a Website to Earn Cash
1. Set up your website as a blog or other informational site. Write about a topic that interests you or in which you have experience. This makes it easier to update the page and keep your motivation high. Update regularly to keep interest high and use a forum to allow comments. The more interested your readers are, the more likely they are to bookmark the page and come back for more.
2. Use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to get your site at or near the top of search results. Using commonly searched keywords in your blog or articles will help search engines identify your content and its relevance. Don't force terms where they don't fit. Doing this can actually reduce the ranking of your site if search engines like Google catch on. Hire an SEO expert for quick optimization, but research them thoroughly to prevent damage to your site's ranking.
3. Sign up for Google AdSense or become an affiliate with a well-known Internet store, such as Amazon. AdSense will earn you cash every time a visitor clicks the ads on your site. Google makes money with each click and a percentage of that revenue is paid to you. Online marketplaces like Amazon.com will advertise products on your site and you earn a commission for each product that sells. If you sell over a certain amount each month, the pay percentage will increase.
How to Get Hits As an Amazon Affiliate
1. Create unique and engaging content to attract visitors to your website. No one wants to read a bland product description or overhyped claims of product performance. For instance, if you are promoting baking products, you could create an article entitled 'Top 10 Baking Mistakes' and link to baking products on Amazon. Write product reviews on your site that target the needs and questions of the average person directly, or post a video of an Amazon product in action. Avoid generic content visitors can find on any other website.
2. Use search engine optimization (SEO) to drive targeted traffic to your website. Identify keywords related to the Amazon products you are promoting and optimize your website to rank well on search engines for those terms.Use your keywords several times on your Web page, especially in headers, the HTML title tag and the descriptive 'meta' tags. Obtain back links from other websites with your keywords as the anchor text, or link title. Writing engaging content will help immensely with this.
3. Place affiliate links 'above the fold.' This Web advertising term refers to the first portion of your Web page visitors can see without scrolling down. Your affiliate links will be most visible here.
4. Place affiliate links within and around your content as well. According to Google, advertisements at the end of articles get more clicks. Each site is different, so move your links around to see where they perform best. Some Web analytics software packages can create a heat map of your website that shows where most visitors click.

How to Remove Encrypted Footer Links From WordPress Themes
1. Log in to your WordPress admin area. Click 'Appearance' from the large menu on the left, then click 'Editor.' The theme editor allows you to edit the theme's HTML files. Under normal circumstances, you could just go to 'footer.php' and delete the links in question; however, with encrypted links, this may cause the entire site to stop functioning. To get around this, you must replace the 'footer.php' file completely.
2. Click on 'index.php' and scroll to the bottom of the file. Locate the following line of code:
This tells WordPress to run all the code in the 'footer.php' file. Add the following lines of code above and below this line:
These are comment tags -- the site will ignore everything between the '
' tags. Click 'Update File' when done.
3. Load up your blog's main index page in a browser. Click 'View,' then 'View Source.' The HTML source code for this page appears. Scroll down and find the 'FooterStart' and 'FooterEnd' comment tags you just inserted. Copy all the code between these two tags to the clipboard.
4. Return to your WordPress admin window. While still in the Theme Editor, click 'footer.php' from the list on the right. Delete all the code in the file, then paste in the code you just copied.
5. Locate the links. In HTML, links look like this: 'Anchor text'. Delete all the links that you want to remove, then click 'Update File.'
How to Get Paid for a Social Site
1. Charge a registration fee. People always prefer free sites, but if you have something to offer that other social sites don't, people will pay to use it. You can offer a trial period or offer free registration or charge only for extra features.
2. Charge for banner space. If you have a lot of traffic, people will want to advertise their business on your site. Place a message on any page of your site to let visitors know about the option and add an 'Advertise with us' page with prices and other relevant information, including means of contacting you.
3. Sign up for Google Adsense or any other contextual advertising program. These programs use targeted marketing by searching for keywords and providing site owners with adds that are relevant to the content on their site. Site owners receive a payment every time a visitor clicks on an add. It's very easy to sign up and placing adds on your pages is as simple as copying and pasting pieces of code.
4. Sign up for an affiliate marketing program. There are many affiliate marketing programs available. These programs work similarly to contextual advertising, but instead of advertising ads, you promote products and services. Many affiliate programs require your visitors to actually buy the product or fill out a form for you to receive payment. Read the affiliate agreement thoroughly to determine which affiliate program is right for you.
5. Sell your site. If you built a social site and don't want to run it, offer it for sale. This is usually the last step, as you will most likely have to show proof of significant traffic and revenue to any potential buyer in order to get a decent offer. You can offer your site for sale on the site itself or through websites such as WebsiteBroker, DealaSite or even Ebay. Before you list it, do your research to determine how much your website is worth.
How to Donate Through Google Ads
1. Click the 'Donate Now' button on the ad. This will take you to the NPO's Google Checkout page.
2. Sign into your Google account. You need a Google account to donate this way. If you don't have one, click the 'Create an account now' link and follow the instructions to set one up.
3. Direct where you want your donation money to go. Note that not all NPOs have a Google Adsense account through which you can donate.
4. Enter your payment information in the following window, then click 'Next' to confirm the purchase.
5. Click 'Submit' to make your donation.
How to Embed Google AdSense Within Posts on WordPress
1. Use a Web browser to log in to Google AdSense. Click the 'My Ads' link, then click the 'Get Code' button beneath the ad you wish to embed in your content.
2. Copy the code to your systems clipboard, then click 'Close' to leave the dialog. Navigate to your WordPress blog and use the WP-Admin interface to log in.
3. Click the 'Posts' button, then click 'Edit' next to the post that is going to hold your advertisement. Click the 'HTML' button, then scroll down to where you wish to place the ad.
4. Paste the Google Ad code from your clipboard into your content, then click the 'Preview' button to see your changes. Move the code, in its entirety, until you find the proper placement for your content, then click the 'Publish' button.

Google Money Making Opportunities
How Adsense Works
Website owners place a piece of Javascript code on their websites to generate and display ads from the Google AdWords program. Google charges Adwords advertisers every time someone clicks on an Adsense ad, then pays a portion of the advertising fee to the owner of the website that hosted the ad.
Contextual Adsense Ads
The most common Google money making opportunity is Google Adsense, which is meant to be placed on individual web pages. Once a website owner has placed the Google Javascript code on his web site, Google's Context robot crawls the pages and selects ads that match the content of the page.
Other Google Adsense Programs
In addition to contextual Adsense, Google also offers Adsense for Search, Adsense for Mobile, Adsense for Feeds and Adsense for Domains. Other Adsense applications are being developed, as of 2009.
Potential
The money making potential of Google Adsense is dependent on a combination of many different things. In order to make a good income using Google Adsense, you should understand how to choose good keywords, how to position Google ads to be effective and how to attract traffic to your website. Many people make thousands of dollars a month through the Google Adsense program.
Cost
It costs nothing to create an Google Adsense account or to serve Google Adsense ads on your web site, RSS feeds and other Google applications.
Warning
Google has stringent guidelines for participation in the Adsense program. If a website is suspected of violating those guidelines, Google will often ban the website from the program and remove it from their search engine entirely.

Contextual Advertising Options
Google AdSense
The largest contextual advertising service is Google's AdSense Content Network. It consists of websites of small and large businesses that place advertising blocks with embedded JavaScript code on their sites. Google then uses its search algorithm to direct text-based, display and video ads to those blocks. Advertisers can use demographic targeting and other strategies to potentially increase revenue. Google places ads based on keywords as well as the location and languages of visitors. For example, a user in London is unlikely to see ads for a restaurant in Des Moines.
Microsoft adCenter
Microsoft's adCenter, leveraging its own Bing search engine and the Yahoo! search engine, is another contextual advertising option for businesses. Microsoft adCenter analyzes the content of a website to determine its meaning and then matches keyword-targeted ads to display on the page. The U.S. ads appear on exclusive content pages on the Microsoft Content Ads Network. Microsoft states that its ads are more relevant because the technology 'delivers relevant ads at the right time.' Advertisers who were on the Yahoo! advertising network have transitioned to the Microsoft network after the partnership agreement was announced in early 2010.
Other Options
Microsoft and Google dominate the online advertising market. However, there are other contextual advertising service providers. America Online's advertising and data insights arm is Advertising.com, which uses the AdLearn platform for ad placements and management. Kontera creates links within the text by adding double underlining to keywords that trigger pop-up ad bubbles. Clicksor is another contextual advertising service that claims to pay out 85 percent of the advertising revenues.
Trends
Technological advances continue to change the way contextual advertising is used and managed. Developers now try to determine age and consumer behavior from the sites they visit. Interactive video can also help businesses understand their consumers. Behavioral advertising may allow advertisers to tailor their ads based on the user's Web surfing habits in prior sessions. Publishers can select more than one contextual advertising company and multiple ad categories to potentially increase site traffic and revenue.
