How to make extra money online
1. Ehow is a reputable and free site where you can share your knowledge with other members and make money. It is a slow process, but over time you can make a decent chunk of extra money. All you have to do is sign up for the writer's compensation program (WCP) and write 'How To' articles. These articles can be as simple as 'How to brush your teeth' to as complex as 'How to Build a Detached Garage'. I have been doing this sporadically for several months. I made about $17 in the first few months but I have less than 20 articles posted. The more articles you post and the more active you are in the Ehow community, then the more money you will make. Check out my other articles on Ehow.
2. Start your own website. You could sell products and services or just post information and make money from advertisements on your site. Sign up for Google Adsense and you can make money when visitors click on your ads. I created a free website on FreeWebs.com. There are many free web hosting services out there. You can do a Google search or even an Ehow search to find more free sites.
3. Start your own blog and use Google Adsense so you can make money when visitors click on your ads. You can write about anything you want. Check out the different blogging sites that I have listed on my personal website listed below in the Resources section. Check out Xomba in the resources section. It is a very popular blogging site so you should get a decent amount of traffic.
4. Sell items on Ebay. This is the most obvious choice, but there are so many opportunities to make money on Ebay. Find a niche that works for you or sell old stuff around the house.
5. Sign up for a seller account on Amazon.com. Sell your old college books and regular books on Amazon to make some extra money and get rid of some of the clutter in the house.
6. Sign up on DayTipper.com. This is a new site for me so I am still testing it out. I have posted one tip and it was approved. When it is published, I should receive a one-time $1 payment. This tip only took me 2 minutes to write. If you are creative, you could really make some quick cash.
7. Sign up on Epinions.com. You get paid to write your opinion about different things. I have signed up for this site and submitted one review. Reviews must be at least 200 words to qualify for income share. I will continue to test this site out and provide more information at a later time.
8. If you are artistic then sign up for CafePress.com. You can upload your artwork and set up a store. You can choose which items you would like to have your artwork printed on like t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, etc. The website supplies all the products so you don't pay anything and you earn a very nice commission when your product sells. Ehow member AlmondSpecial was kind enough to share this in my comments section. Please check out her article about CafePress in the Resources section.
9. Etsy.com - This site allows you to buy or sell any handmade items. Check it out. You could sell homemade jewelry, clothing, t-shirts and more. I have not used this site, but it is reputable and has a broad range of opportunities.
10. Lulu.com - this site allows you to upload your digital creations. It can include photos, artwork, or even a manuscript. I have not tried this site, but it is reputable as well.
11. Sign up for Hubpages. You can write articles and receive money for Google Adsense, and also for signing up to be an affiliate for Amazon and eBay. You can really make some money here. See the links below for some great articles that were written on HubPages about earning extra money.
12. Find a legitimate work-at-home job to supplement your income. This can be anything from data entry to freelance computer programming. I have compiled an 8 page list of resources and information regarding this topic. Since it is too much to fit into this article, I have supplied the link 'Work-at-Home Jobs' under resources.

How to Put a Search Bar on Your Website Earn Cash
1. Join an online advertising network that offers pay-per-click search engine revenue. Popular networks include Ask Sponsored Listings and Google Adsense for Search.
2. Use your website design program to open the web page that will contain the search bar. Decide where on the page you wish to place the search box. Many websites locate this toward the top of the page to make it stand out.
3. Log on to your advertising network and access the 'Ads Setup' or 'Get Ads' section from the top menu of the user interface. Select the search bar advertising option.
4. Configure the search bar and search results page to fit the design style of your website. Advertising networks allow several configuration options including color scheme, search box size and the ability to include your site logo on the results page. When you have made your choices, select 'Get Code' under the configuration dialogue box.
5. Select and copy the script code snippet from the dialogue box.
6. Return to your website design program. Paste the code into the appropriate section of your web page. You may need to insert paragraph (p) or division (div) tags around the script code for it to work correctly.
7. Upload your web page to the server. Check your website to make sure the search engine works properly.
How to Make Money on Web for Free
1. Become an online web content writer. Look for writing job postings at sites such as Craigslist.org or FreelanceWritingGigs.com, or contact websites directly for available writing positions.
2. Offer to work for companies as a virtual assistant. Virtual assistants perform a wide variety of administrative, writing and website duties using the Internet from home. Both Elance.com and ODesk.com allow users to list their skills and connect with potential employers.
3. Sell your used or other unused clothes and household items through online auction sites such as eBay. There's no startup fee associated with using eBay; you pay only a small fee if the item sells.
4. Open a Google AdSense account and add it to your current blog or website. Joining AdSense is free, and when someone clicks an ad on your website, you earn money from that click.
How to Make My Own Google Website
1. Point your Web browser to 'sites.google.com.'
2. Sign in to your Google account. If you don't have a Google account or wish to use a separate account for your website, sign up for a new Google account. You already have a Google account if you have a Gmail account.
3. Click on 'Create site' to start creating your Google website.
4. Choose a website template, site name, URL and theme for your site. Google automatically generates a website URL based on the name of the site. Your new home page appears.
5. Add content to your website. Click links on your home page to switch to different pages in your website, just as you would when browsing a website. Click on the 'Edit page' button to change the content on the current page. Click on the 'Create page' button to add new pages to your website. Click on the 'More actions' button for additional website-management options.

How Google Adsense Works
All Programs
For all the AdSense programs, you can choose where the ad content appears on your site. You also have some influence in choosing what content Google will display on your site. You can filter out the ads from sites that compete with yours, or ads that don't relate to your site's content or that are offensive.
Eligibility
Before you can choose parameters for the AdSense ads, your site has to meet Google's criteria. These include the following: You must be at least 18 and have a website. If you don't have a site, you can use a blogging site such as Blogger, WordPress or TypePad.
AdSense for Content
The AdSense for content program places ads on your site that are relevant to your site's content. For example, if your site is about notable painters throughout the history of art, you can choose to have Google show ads for people promoting products like artist supplies, picture frames, online art lessons, and other goods or services related to art. When you sign up for this AdSense program, Google presents a series of screens that let you choose how ad content will appear. For example, you can choose text-only ads to prevent large images from distracting your site's visitors. You can also choose ad size and font to integrate the ad's look with that of your site. After completing these option screens, Google gives you the HTML code to place on your site's pages. After installing this code and uploading the page to your server, Google starts delivering the ads.
AdSense for Search
Googles AdSense for search program gives you another benefit besides ad revenue: a search engine for your site. In the configuration screens for this AdSense program, you tell Google where on your site you want to place the search engine. You can also indicate which specific pages of your site you want searched. When your site's visitors use the search engine to locate content on your site, ads appear at the top of the search results--just as they do when you use the regular Google search engine.
